Atelier iad ltd were commissioned to re design a run down pub in Chelsea (West London) owned by the famous singer James Blunt. The brief was to retain the feel and character of the traditional pub. Incorporating a new basement to house a commercial kitchen, enclosing the existing beer garden to create a covered / alfresco dining space and also reconfigure the existing first floor accommodation transforming it into private dining and new bathroom facilities.
For the transformation of the outdoor space the architectural team have agreed for the Libart retractable glass roof system that they have acquired through the Libart distributor in UK. The core idea is to create an space that can be filled with natural light in a good weather and can be an indoor area when the weather is not favorable. This retractable system have integrated with the theme and allows decorating item that can be hanged.
